Description: This appears to be an original Franz Joseph of Austria Fifty Year Memorial Medal (1848-1898) issued by the government of Austria-Hungary, and probably dating to the First World War era. Die struck medal shows some signs of age, and is affixed to a faded ribbon. I am no expert on vintage medals, but my experience tells me this is most likely an original medal, at least dating to WW1.
