Hradec nad Moravici Castle is located on the northeastern spur of Nizke Jesenik above the confluence of the Moravice River and the Hradecna Stream. The first mentions of Hradec and its castle come from the middle of the 11th century. After a fire in the middle of the 13th century, King Premysl Otakar II began the large-scale construction of a new Gothic castle. The Gothic castle was rebuilt into a Renaissance, then a Baroque castle. It acquired its characteristic expression through the Empire reconstruction. Today, the White Castle belongs to the complex of historic buildings with an extensive park, behind it stands the so-called White Tower, and the area is entered through a gate that is part of the neo-Gothic Red Castle (Wiki and Zamek Hradec).
