Description: Red McCarthy In Action Circa 1940's This is a original vintage publicity photograph of well known Ice Capades star Red McCarthy performing a jump off of a ramp sometime in the early 1940's. His outlandish costumes were based on body paint made of silver nitrate and crushed glass that took over an hour to apply, (and just as long to remove). The photograph measures about 8" x 10" and is in good condition with a light horizontal crease just below the image of McCarthy. This publicity photograph came from a large collection of ice show memorabilia (over 700 pieces) that I bought last year that used to belong to New York ice show promoter and agent Harry Hirsch. A great item for any collection of Figure Skating memorabilia. Don't miss out, add this vintage program to your collection today! From the Harry Hirsch collection Pabookman Books Postcards Ephemera
