Description: Coastal Reflections no. 8 is an original acrylic on canvas collage painting. It was painted using high quality Golden paints. After painting, I cut out text from an old book that was falling apart and collaged it onto the canvas to give the words some new life! The sails for the sailboat were made by building up several layers of thin, tracing paper to give it a soft, three dimensional feel, similar to paper mache. It measures 5 x 5 inches, has gallery wrapped, painted sides and is ready to hang on your wall. I live on the rocky coast of Maine and am inspired by frequent beach walks along Popham Beach.
