Description: This original poster belongs to an important collection initiated by my husband's grandmother in 1973. The collection was gradually transported to the United States between 1998 and 2012, adhering to stringent Cuban and U.S. government regulations regarding the import and export of art from the island. Each batch of posters was meticulously processed by the Registro Nacional de Bienes Culturales de la República de Cuba, with permits issued under my name and my husband's name, ensuring their legal transfer. The posters have been carefully preserved, kept flat in a temperature-controlled room since they left Cuba. However, due to the humid and hot climate of the island, as well as careless handling and poor storage over the years, some posters may exhibit minor flaws such as small border tears, cracks in the silkscreen paint, pinhole bug bites, and water stains. These imperfections are common in Cuban posters from the 60s and 70s. For more information about the history of Cuban posters and his artists, visit my page at artofcuba.com. TITLE: Pen with money sign YEAR: 2004 ARTIST: Silvio. Limited edition of 10 MEDIUM: Silkscreen on cartuline. It is embossed with the traditional Portocarrero Seal. SIZE: 20"x28"= 49x70cm Modern posters as this one are made by the new generation of young artists that were trained under the old school of Cuban design from decades before. In my opinion they are revitalizing the design industry and they are doing a great job. I found that the production of these posters is very short. In most cases, less than 50 copies is the standard, making them posters very desirable for collectors. Original Cuban posters are becoming highly collectable and because of their scarcity many are being reproduced. We sell only Original posters. We take very seriously the packing of our original posters. To mail it to you, we first roll it around a large tube and covered with tissue paper to secure the ends.
