Description: Here is a rare Bible Translation which renders the Divine Name of God "JEHOVAH" 239 times in the NEW TESTAMENT. "The Original Aramaic New Testament in Plain English with Psalms and Proverbs" 389 pages. In the introduction to this Bible it says that the original New Testament was originally written by Jews who wrote and spoke Hebrew and Aramaic. Note this quote :"Greek has no equivalent for "Yahweh"; instead it uses "Kurios" which is not a name but a title, and can refer to a human or to God. I cannot believe the original New Testament would lack the most sacred Old Covenant Name revealed to man, but the Greek does lack it!...The Peshitta New Testament has "MarYah" [JEHOVAH] 239 times! The translator is correct and in agreement with the New World Translation in using the name Jehovah in the New Testament which was written by Jews who used the Divine Name. However a note of caution is that the translator a clergyman of Christendom [Rev. Bauscher] also tries to apply that name to Yeshua [Jesus] in some verses. Of course Jesus can go by the Name of God just as other angels have done such as the angel who spoke to Moses [see Acts chapter 8 where the angel says he is God and even the name Jehovah but of course he was just speaking for God as God's Word or logos just as other angels have done for thousands of years]. But to assume that Jesus is Almighty God Jehovah or part of a Trinity is incorrect because the very Jews who wrote the New Testament, as this translator admits, do not believe in a Trinity. The Jews only believe in one God not three in one as the enemies of God did. Yes the enemies of God the Egyptians and Babylonians believed in the Trinity but the Chosen people of God at the time, the Jews , did not worship a Trinity just as they do not down to this day. And therefore Jehovah's Witnesses who have restored the teachings of those first Jewish Christians as written in the New Testament also do not believe in a trinity and they of course use the Divine Name JEHOVAH both in worship and in the New World Translation of the Holy Scriptures. This Translation is used in the new 2015 NWT Study online Edition as J-28 for the use of the Divine Name in the New Testament.
