The map is drawn on a scale of 1:750,000, and the image area measures 51 x 37 cm [20" x 14½"], with generous margins on all sides. Details include cities, towns, railroads, postal roads, canals, and natural features, with topography drawn in relief. There is an inset of the industrial area north of Cologne, drawn on a scale of 1:500,000.
