Dessain, 1778. The image area measures 13.4 x 17.3 cm [5¼" x 6¾"], and relief is shown pictorially. The coverage area includes present-day Greece, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, Croatia, Serbia, Crete, and the Crimea. Other named places and features include the Black Sea, Danube River, Transylvania, Cyprus, Macedonia, Thessaly, Constantinople, Moldavia, Apollonia, Belgrade, and part of Poland. Condition: This map is in excellent condition, bright and clean, with two vertical folds, as issued, and no marks, rips, or tears. It is blank on the back, with no printing on the reverse side. Claude Buffier was a French philosopher, historian and cartographer, born in Poland to French parents.
