The outside is made of a sage green nylon material. The inside is lined with a wool, rayon pile type of material for added warmth. On the front there is a chin strap with 2 snaps on each side for adjustments and for securing around your chin. Inside there is a sewn in label with the following information: HELMET FLYING, WINTER B-98, DLA-65-C-8335, SHELL: 100% NYLON, LINING; 65% ACETATE / 35% COTTON, ALPHA INDUSTRIES, INC.
