Description: This original antique watercolor painting features Scarborough Harbor in England and is signed Clare Baxter, 1921. The painting depicts the nautical theme of the harbor and the town's landscape. It measures 14.25 inches by 10.5 inches and is in overall great condition except for some light wear on upper left side near the edge and of course, the back has wear where paper has stuck to glue and painting was removed from matting. This piece was painted on some kind of thin cardboard made for artistry. Please view photos. On the back is written: “The Harbour Scarboro’ by Mrs. C. Robinson 3 Ravenstone Rd (Haringey? / unintelligible) N8. I believe “C. Robinson” is Clare’s maiden name or married name.
