These wonderful 1920's - 1940's Westinghouse sign/angle lights were carefully removed just prior to a building demolition. Finding lights like these in matching numbers has become increasingly difficult and far more expensive. But this time, I got a good price, so you do too. If you didn't read the 1927 Westinghouse catalog page, you really should. The porcelain shade is 10" in diameter. The top fitter is cast-iron and very attractive. It houses on of the finest electric sockets ever imagined. Westinghouse pulled out all the stops when these were manufactured 80 years ago. I've wired them with 150 centigrade high-temperature wire and added a ground. The vapor-proof glass globe protects the bulb from any sort of damage and collects the glass if a bulb should break. It reduces the possibility of causing an explosion from encroaching vapors. It would also protect the bulb from a stray water stream and even bugs. For safety, it has a ground wire, pass your inspections!! The goosenecks are hand-produced by a retired electrician in West Virginia, NOBODY does it better! I'm not sure how he does it but they are all identical. From the wall to the center of the light is 18 inches. These goosenecks are extremely strong. The mounting plate/box cover will fit most round or octagonal electrical wall boxes.. Sold individually. The shades are in good but not perfect condition. A chip or two, maybe some edge roughness, nothing too distracting. The cast-iron fitters all have some surface rust. The heavy glass globes are in excellent condition.
