It's amazing how many different tones you can get from this pedal with one control knob called BLEND. Will work in a variety of music genres and stacks well with other overdrive/distortion units. Runs on 9v battery or adapter and yes, this tiny pedal does have space for a 9v battery. Unbelievable. Please go to the last paragraph for a more detailed description. One Control is yet another pedal line from the creative mind of Bjorn Juhl. You know BJFE, Bearfoot, Mad Professor and now One Control. I've many of Juhl's creations. They are well thought out, well built, using quality parts, and are just tone machines. As like most One Control pedals they were first produced as BJFE pedals. The BJFE pedals are now expensive and many of them were discontinued. But Juhl brought back many of his early effect pedal creations, in a more budget and pedal friendly line of effect pedals called One Control. You should own this pedal. You won't be disappointed. I bought three of these from a music store that was going out of business. Two were brand new. The one you will be bidding on was a visual display unit and it does show some wear on the bottom plate. The rest of the pedal looks like new. I have played this pedal twice. Last time was right before listing. The pedal sounds great. No box, etc., included. You only get the pedal in this auction. The frequency range of the Purple Humper is broad enough for any type of music that requires an extra boost, and you can use the Purple Humper to change the sound of your clean transistor amp into a British flavored vintage sound. When used with distortion effects, you can create a real, shiny and smooth guitar sound while maintaining the original distortion tone. By adjusting the single Blend knob, you can change the hard transistor amp clean sound into a shiny British sound, change the Stratocaster bridge pickup into a sound like a hollow body neck pickup, or create an 80s metal lead tone, or add heavier distortion with a single coil. The design of the Blend control plays an important role in ensuring the pedals controllability. Blend control gives you a wide-ranging tonal input and boost signals through the buffer.
