It’s always a good idea when buying a camera to plan to buy a new battery or batteries if you want your batteries to hold a charge for a desired length of time. Typically, if we include a battery with your camera and it charges fully, it COULD last you for a while without a replacement. There is a brand called Kastar that is available on eBay which sells new batteries or chargers for around $7-10 with free shipping. They sell brand new battery and charger combos for a few dollars more than just a battery or charger ($10-15 for most cameras). Place your order from an eBay search bar, search “Kastar” and the make and model of the camera and “charger” (i.e. “Nikon S3100 charger”) and their batteries and charges will come up in the search. Their orders arrive in 4-5 days and ship immediately as do our cameras. The same goes if you are buying a camera or camcorder that does not include a proprietary battery or charger and you try to use a battery or battery charger that is not compatible and claim that your device is not working, after retesting your device once returned with a compatible battery and charger we find that it is working properly, we will deduct your original shipping cost plus a percentage high enough (30-50%) to cover the return shipping cost, packaging and labor from your refund amount.
