Description: ★ I have other typewriters ★ Please take a look ★ Remington No.1 portable typewriter with case. It's serial number, NX30573, dates it to 1923. Excellent cosmetic condition. Nice paint and decals though flaws can be found around the keyboard from taking the case cover on and off. The nickel plating is well preserved. More than anything, this example needs a dusting and a good polish. Displays beautifully. Mechanically it is complete. The carriage advances and returns well. Paper feeds well. Lovely keyboard. Only the backspace key works sporadically. Needs a new ribbon but otherwise ready to write. This Remington types 10 characters per inch (Pica). An original case is included.
