Description: For sale is a vintage Vaughan U.S.A. lathing hatchet, weighing 1lb.7.9 oz. overall, with handle. Signed "Vaughan", it has a 6-3/4" head, a 2" wide edge, with a 1-5/16" square checkered face. The steel is excellent, showing normal use and wear, with a good edge which will respond well to honing and sharpening by a experienced hand. The 13-1/4" wood handle is sound and solid, with a "hanging hole" from a previous owner, as pictured.
