The edge part was made by a craftman, the blade itself was made by machines on some phases. (the most of gyutos are made in this way.) The knfie is the knife before engraving a brand name. You might feel it's heavy, but it is a good knife. NOTE: -The edge has not been sharpened, if you want me to sharpen it please let me know (or I ask this after you purchase.) -In case you choose a sharpening service (FREE), there would be sharpening scratches on both sides. Please understand this. -I sharpen it at 50 :50 R:L ratio. If you have your own preference, please let me know.
