Description: Presented is a wonderful quality Old Newbury Crafters sterling silver creamer or milk pitcher, dating to circa 1965-1973. Though this is a newer piece, this is a Boston Museum of Fine Arts reproduction piece made in a much older style emulating a piece by E. Moulton, circa 1810. The pitcher is done in a handsome barrel form, with the appearance of reeded bands around the body and base. This is a well made piece, with a great feeling of weight and quality in the hand. Capacity of 24 fluid ounces or 710 milliliters. This piece is in excellent condition. There are no splits, no dents, no breaks, no monograms, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is hallmarked on the underside with the maker's mark ONC for Old Newbury Crafters, as well as the arrowhead shaped mark for the specific craftsman, Fletcher S. Carter, active circa 1965-1973, sterling, and the number 504. There is also the retail mark for Shreve, Crump & Low, “Boston Museum of Fine Arts Reproduction” and information about the piece it is reproducing, namely the maker E. Moulton and a date of circa 1810. The creamer stands about 4 7/8 inches tall, about 3 1/2 inches in diameter at the sides, and about 7 inches from the handle to the spout. The creamer weighs 327 grams or 11.5 regular ounces. -jm Powered by SixBit's eCommerce Solution
