Old Japanese Telephone Vintage Japan Rotary Desk Office Table 1940s Model DO-8

Description: Unusual Old Telephone Serial No. 6488 Model DO-8 Telephone Made in Japan Phone looks good. Not busted up, does show patina of time. Looks complete. Plug-in is very old style. Rotary dial has no resistance when dialing. But has resistance on return, but you have to help it, no spring return action. Needs screw to hold dial mechanism in place. Yellow case and handset is some kind of early plastic. Other parts are stamped metal. Have never seen a phone like this, before or since. It’s marked “Japan”, and from style, I would guess from late 1940s early 1950s. Very unique (at least to me). Have more old collector phones for sale.
