Description: ARTIST: Jørn Glob is a well-listed Danish artist, whose works have been offered at auctions multiple times, and who has had works exhibited at the famous Charlottenborg. There is also a painting of his on display in a Danish museum called Skovgaard Museet. Glob was educated at the Royal academy of Art in Copenhagen. His favorite scenes include portraits, landscapes and houses. PAINTING: Oil on canvas. The painting is a lovely, impressionistic rendering of what appears to be 2 or 3 neighboring farms with a dirt road and hedges separating the properties. These whitewashed houses with thatched roofs are so typical for many Danish farmhouses and can still be seen all around the countryside. In the middle a tree dominates the foreground and its leafless appearance, combined with the orange-brown colors of the hedges, suggest that the scene was painted during autumn. I’ll date the painting to somewhere between 1960-1975. Signed: “Jørn Glob” in the lower right corner. SIZE: With frame: 54,5 cm/21.5" * 44,5 cm/17.5". Without frame: 39 cm/15.4" * 29 cm/11.4". CONDITION: The painting is in great ready-to-hang condition - no holes, tears or missing paint. The frame has minor scratches and stains.
