Description: Official Mother 2 / Earthbound Starman Pin Brooch imported from Japan. It has never been worn and is in like new condition. I'd say new, but I did open the package so I don't want to over do it. They were made by Proof of Guild, a handmade jewelry studio in Nagoya. Metal engraver Minoru Takeuchi is especially talented at imagining something into a complete, three-dimensional form, so they skipped the sketches and mockups and had him work directly on the 3D brooch pins. Takeuchi’s first step to recreating the images of Starman involved carving out wax versions of the pins. He then turned that into a mold, made a prototype, cast the brooch pins, polished them, and then applied a matte finish with a sandblaster. Each brooch pin is entirely unique as they are all handmade one by one. As you use them over time, the brooch pins will deepen in color and develop a deep, calming luster.
