Description: This is an original GM driver's side exhaust manifold for a Big Block Chevy engine. The casting number is 3883999. The 3883999 exhaust manifold was used on 1966 Chevelles and El Caminos with the 396 engine in all horsepower variants with or without California SMOG equipment. This particular manifold is setup to accept SMOG lines. The holes have brass plugs in them which will need to be removed if you have factory SMOG equipment. The casting date is K 3 5 which decodes as November 3rd, 1965. This manifold will likely also for other years and models. Please confirm your specific application. This is a very hard to find OEM GM exhaust manifold. This exhaust manifold is in excellent unrestored original condition as shown. There is no pitting on this manifold. The casting number and date code are intact and legible as shown. There are no breaks or repairs. All 3 manifold to pipe studs are intact and in good condition as shown. The manifold is setup from the factory to accept factory SMOG lines. The line bosses have been plugged and will need to be removed if you plan to use factory SMOG equipment. I see no modfications or repairs to this manifold. This manifold is quite hard to find since it was only used on the Chevelle/El Camino and only in 1965-1967.
