Description: Up for sale is the pictured set of original Dungeons & Dragons rule books: Men & Magic, Monsters & Treasure, and The Underworld & Wilderness Adventures. These three books along with the Chainmail fantasy supplement comprised the very first incarnation of D&D, and it’s very rare to find them in such beautiful condition! This set is the seventh printing of the original rules, which is most notable for the removal of Tolkien-specific references, some of which were replaced (Hobbits and Ents became Halflings and Treants) while others disappeared altogether. Please review the photos for the minor tear at the top of the spine of Men & Magic, as well as the handful of pages in this rule book that contain lightly penciled errata notes from the original owner. These could be removed by a patient hand, and are the ONLY notes or markings present in any of the three books. All pages and covers are crisp and clean with this minor exception. Please also carefully review the final photos for what appears to be a rare printing error on the back outer cover of The Underworld & Wilderness Adventures book; it looks like the rules page of another book was partially pressed onto this cover in reverse, and faint traces survived production.
