Description: LT Wright Knives Sospes William Myers of Mantis Outdoors andLT Wright Kniveshave teamed up to produce theSospesas the Flagship model that is designed to do a wide range of bushcraft and other outdoor tasks (Sospes translated from Latin is "unharmed, safe and sound"). It is a "beefy" knife with 3/16" thick steel, yet the design allows it to do finer work so not only does it baton great, but making feather-sticks is a breeze. The high Scandi grind allows for excellent control when doing fine and precise tasks. A new feature for an LTWK knife is that the spine is sharpened square on about the front two-thirds of the blade instead of starting at the handle so it's easier on your thumb when putting down pressure on the knife (please see picture). The Sospes has an overall length of 10.5" with a blade length of 5.75". The overall handle length is about 4.875". It has been tested by multiple bushcrafters and found to perform nearly any bushcraft/outdoor task easily. The Sospes excels at wood prep, delimbing, food prep, fire craft, camp chores, carving, and large game prep. It is also adept when using the sharp 90 degree spine for things like debarking a stick or scraping a ferro rod. The handle of the Sospes is very comfortable and provides a solid grip allowing for little to no hand fatigue during extended periods of use. The blade tip is very near the centerline of the knife making it great for drilling tasks. The Sospes has a LOT going for it and certainly qualifies for being that "one tool option".
