Round, glass ashtray is intact with no chips, cracks or rough edges. Screened logo is intact. Today, it seems ironic a doctors' group would have a promotional ashtray. But the earlier days, 1948 through, say, the 1970s, were a different time in everyone's attitudes toward smoking. Perhaps that makes this item an interesting collectible.
