Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Noritake Polonaise 2045 Single (1) Bread & Butter Plate. At the time this listing was written, multiple place setting pieces, extra pieces, and many serving pieces were available in this pattern, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The bread & butter plate measures approximately 6.375” in diameter and is marked with the following backstamp: “Noritake, N, ®, Japan, 2045, Polonaise, U.S. Design Pat. Pend.” The plate has a white/ivory base with a white/blue/gold floral and scroll pattern, and a gold rim/verge. The pattern is has been discontinued with the years of manufacture between 1969 and 1986. Condition: Overall, the bread & butter plates are in great condition and look to have been rarely used. The plates were acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no major condition issues (chips, cracks, crazing) were noticed upon a thorough inspection. The pieces may show extremely light utensil marks, flea bites, minor glazing/manufacturer imperfections, cleaning or storage scratches, or minor imperfections to the gold rim and verge, but the pieces look only lightly used, if ever.
