Description: Nippon hand painted decorative bowl and nut dish with painted violets. Pretty, two piece set of porcelain hand painted dishes. One is an oval shape with ruffled edge, the other is a small dish in the shape of the club from a card deck. Each has a white painted background with a design of delicate violets and leaves. There is a painted gold art deco trim around the edges of both pieces. Each piece is stamped on the bottom with Hand Painted Nippon, the larger piece is easier to read. The pieces are in good condition overall. There is some paint chipping to some areas of both of the dishes. There are no chips or cracks in the porcelain. The larger dish measures approx 7 1/2 inches wide, 1 1/2 inches tall and 4 1/2 inches wide at the base. The smaller piece measures approx 3 1/2 inches wide and 1 3/4 inches tall.
