Very good condition, considering its age. The leather is rubbed all over, but the gilt decorations are still quite vivid. Front board is slightly bowed. The rear free endpaper has ben torn out. Foxing on and around the plates, and some pages have small smudges and stains, not affecting the legibility of the text. Owner's signature inside, but otherwise unmarked and tight. Item #310845 Biblical stories of prayer, temptation, and angelic visits in the night, illustrated with black and white engravings from paintings by Thomas Moran. Daniel March (1816-1909) was a Presbyterian minister who served primarily in Philadelphia; this book was one of his most popular.
