Description: Nice group of early US Revenues. 14 stamps, mostly 1862-1871 (often called 'First Issues'). All but one picture George Washington, one Liberty. A nice mix of categories - regular revenue stamps (the 2 cents were often used on CDV art cards sent through the mail), conveyance, certificate, power of attorney, surety bond, foreign exchange, inland exchange, passage ticket. Most are canceled by writing in ink, some the dates are readable. A couple hand cancels, one stamped twice July 14, 1865. Three have punch hole cancellations as well as handwritten. A few have the Scott catalog # in pencil on the backs. Those that don't I identified through eBay searches. Where in doubt, with a few where the difference between b and c (or d) was substantial, I went with the version priced the lowest. I am not up to speed on stamps; these came along in a small collection of numismatic material. So there might be a hidden gem; I just assume the more-common rather than the scarce. Still, a very nice assembly. Below are the denominations, #d 1-14. The numbers match the images by reading the two rows left to right. You be the judge on condition. Tracked and insured Ground Advantage, how I ship everything except very high value items, is $6.25. I do not use the 'ebay envelope with limited tracking' - I had two recent purchases sent to me this way which I did receive but the items are still in limbo according to the tracking. I would love to ship cheaper - because I am still actively buying - but I can't take the risk of not having my items tracked.
