Description: For sale is an antique leather covered box with marbled / japanned paper inside. You can see many irregular hand wrought iron nails, a clear indicator of its old age. The interior label is intact. Henry H Barton. Spring saddle patent. Probably indicates an early to mid 1800's origin. The box is in overall good condition. It has some stains commensurate with age, but not too bad considering its age. All six sides of the leather covering are in good condition, no major cracks or losses. The lid does not shut tightly, as shoe in the pictures. 10" x 5" x 6" Please check the photos carefully for the condition of all sides.
