Description: The Lockheed Constellation ("Connie") is a propeller-driven, four-engined aircraft built in the early 1940's. There were several different models of the Constellation series produced, although all featured the distinctive triple-tail and dolphin-shaped fuselage. As the first pressurized airliner in widespread use, the Constellation series was the first civil airliner equipped with a pressurized helped establish affordable and comfortable air travel. Among its famous uses was during the Berlin and Biafran airlifts. Three of the Constellation series served as the presidential aircraft for Dwight D. Eisenhauer.This VINTAGE 1975 Monogram kit is NEW in sealed box and features the C-121C version of the Constellation produced for the U.S. Air Force which was used for military long range transport, electronics, and airborne early warning and control.
