The light sound of roasted maple is added to the characteristic smoothness and midrange of basswood to create a perfect tone balance. The fascinating flame maple used for the body top is further enhanced by the rich trans color lineup. The headstock has a bold gloss black finish. Suhr guitars including the MODERN PLUS are finished with Thin Skin (ultra-thin) poly coating. By making the paint thickness as thin as possible, we create a guitar with excellent resonance and sustain. The added push/pull switch allows coil tapping of the humbucker pickup, further expanding the sound variations.
