It was the dominant power steering box on almost all GM cars through 1977 & about half of all GM cars from 1978 to the early 90's. This box is distinct for its square, 4-bolt housing cover, as opposed to the round, ring-retained housing cover on the newer model "Small GM Power" box. This note is only added for customers to determine which box they have if they DON'T have the stock power box from the above applications.
