Description: Brand new locking Chrome gas cap for 1970 through 1980 MGB except 1975 cars with single carb and no catalytic converter and MG Midget except 1975 CA 1500 (c) 160160 to 166300. These caps are for US Spec cars with external lugs. Unlike other gas caps being sold for later MGB's these fit. The 1970 and later MG Midget and MGB used a very unique lug size and these fit correctly. They are nice and heavy and will last years with high quality chrome. The center folds up to reveal the lock. A super nice detail to add to the car while protecting your fuel from vandalism or theft. Some cars may have had the filler neck changed for one from an earlier car to alloy the use of the vented cap. So its worth making sure the lugs on the cap are on the outside of the cap facing in with the gaps in the filler neck on the outside of the rim with notches on the outside.
