Description: New England primitive wooden milking stool – multiple layers of chippy paint Original paint: dark lime green, dark oxblood red, sky blue, and ochre. Emits a lot of “charactah.” Lovely shape. Terrific patina. This little guy has been through a lot but remains strong. I purchased this stool years ago—was already dinged and banged-up, including a now age-old sliver off one of the legs (please see last three photos)—but it’s still solid and sturdy enough to be used as a step stool (i.e., to stand on).
