These fine leashes are hand-made with careful craftsmanship by the Amish in Northeastern Ohio. A short leash is valuable when training your dog to heel, or for keeping him close in crowds, etc. Can also be easily used together with our leash couplers (see our other listings) Our 18-inch leash (traffic leash) is available in 2 widths: .....1/2" width is ideal for small dogs (the finish on this width is matte) .....3/4" or 1" width for larger breeds (the finish on these widths is slightly glossy) Each leash has a swiveling solid brass snap clip. Both ends of the leash are carefully doubled back and securely sewn over for extra strength. There are NO rivets - because a punched rivet hole would reduce overall strength. Leashes are made of genuine BioThane®, the same material the local Amish use for buggy driving lines. (A soft supple synthetic leather-like outer with a strong webbed polyester inner - having the look and feel of leather, but stronger and easier to maintain.) Soft and smooth to the touch, providing a secure grip and easy on the hands, even when wet. Lightweight, but still has a high tensile strength. Will not stretch, rot or fade. Does not absorb moisture, resists mold and mildew. Wipes clean with warm water and soap, or just a damp cloth. Color: black All materials used for this product are made in U.S.A.
