Nautical Wood Clock Octagonal 7 15/16 inches

Description: Helping a family member downsize in preparation for a move. There was a sunroom with nautical decor and this clock was part of the decor. It does have a label on the back "Handcrafted for Moby Dick Specialties" which was a popular shop for nautical and maritime items. It is a really nice wooden clock that is about 7 15/16 inches in diameter--the clock itself is 4 3/4 inches in diameter. There is a hanger on the back for wall hanging.There is a sailor's knot for every hour --great detail! Also there is an anchor at 12 and a life preserver at 6.It is a layered look with the wood frame as the outer rim, then a painted burnished gold wood "frame" and finishing with a dark gray matting before the open clock area which is 4 3/4 inches. The clock is 1 1/2 inches deep. I did replace the battery compartment and tested it for a week--works well. The battery compartment is a bit snug ( new ) so putting the + end in first will allow the - end to slide in easily. Originally, the battery compartment had a bit of glue affixing it to the back so I did put a bit of glue on this new battery compartment. Also, the original clock had taping around it and I did re-tape the back with new tape. The clock has wood pieces that form the octagonal shape and these are fixed to the interior and the tape was just to close the joined areas. We do combine shipping and welcome all inquiries.
