Description: On July 17, 1974, Apollo Service Module Commander Thomas Stafford and Soyuz spacecraft Commander Alexi Leonov extended their hands for a handshake in the docking module between the Apollo command module and the Soyuz spacecraft. The United States and the USSR had joined spacecrafts in Earth orbit for a joint mission of cooperation in space. This press pin is from that historic mission, 48 years ago. It has been stored away since that time and is in excellent condition. No mars, dings, or scratches, front or back. A nice collector's piece.
