Description: This is Nancy Drew's #14 The Whispering Statue by Carolyn Keene - The copyright date is 1937. The book is in GOOD condition. There is an inscription crossed out inside on the right front endpaper. There is light shelfwear. This is the BLUE edition with a DUST JACKET. The title, Nancy and the author's name are in ORANGE on the front cover. It has an orange silhouette of Nancy in high heels carrying a magnifying glass under the book's title on the front cover. The frontispiece is on GLOSSY paper. The endpapers are orange silhouettes. There are 25 chapters. The list of books page at the end of the book ends with 18 The Mystery at the Moss Covered Mansion. *DUST JACKET: The dust jacket is in VERY GOOD condition. There are small tears around the edges. At the very top of the front of the jacket, in very tiny letters, a date is written: Dec 29, 1943. You have to look carefully to see it. The front flap ends with 19 The Quest of the Missing Map, the back flap ends with the Dana Girls' 10 The Mysterious Fireplace, and the back of the jacket ends with Melody Lane's 8 The Secret of the Kashmir Shawl. Torn areas have been reinforced from the inside of the dust jacket with transparent archival document repair tape. I've wrapped the book in a clear archival book cover to protect the dust jacket. I think this is closest to a Format #5 1942-B13 edition, based on Farah's Guide, 12th Printing. The Dana Girls volume number on the back flap of the dust jacket is higher (a 12 instead of 10) than the edition that Farah's Guide lists. I am happy to combine on shipping.
