Very smooth vocal deliveries make this an Island Treasure many people have grown to love in Hawai'i. About the Artist The original female foursome, Na Waihooluu O Ke Anuenue was formed in 1989 with intentions to win the High School brown bag competition and have the chance to represent their school in the statewide finals. Their goal to win the school competition was achieved and they took their original composition to the finals to win third place overall. It was there that they were discovered by a local producer and approached to record an album. The young women took the chance to record and their first CD entitled Colors of the Rainbow, was released in November of 1989. In a years time the group evolved changing its members and musical direction only to release their second CD entitled Jawaiian Rainbow. It was this second release that brought them more recognition, but it was their bonus track and single Girlie, Girlie that became a number one hit on local radio stations taking them straight to the top. After three years they released their last CD entitled Rainbow Journey before deciding to disband and individually pursue other careers. After five long years , two original members of Na Waihooluu O Ke Anuenue are back with a new band, a new sound, a new attitude and a fresh style. Their long awaited project TOGETHER, combines the talents of Bella and Luisa Finau, Virginia Kidder-Paleka and the musical finesse of their newly found producer Radical Rob Onekea who has produced such local groups as Sudden Rush, Kolaboration of Soulz and has collaborated with many other local artists. There are 13 songs on this latest release by the dancehall divas, some of which include cameos by a few of Hawaiis hottest artists including FIJI on Why You, and SUDDEN RUSH on Kaulana Na Pua, and BET on You That I Want. This album is a mixture of reggae and dancehall with a little R&B flavor. This hot female trio has one mission in mind to shock the airwaves and rock the islands with their profound new style of music.
