See the lighting effect it in action at https://youtu.be/mq_ZDVGGPFM Rock Island Lighthouse is located in the Thousand Islands Region about 4.5 miles northeast of Clayton, Jefferson County, New York, off of Fisher's Landing. Originally commissioned in 1847, it is one of six lights put up along the St. Lawrence River to guide traffic to and from Lake Ontario through the waterway. The Rock Island station is the best preserved, as all of its structures still survive. Used under permission the completed model in the pictures was made by one of eBay buyers. Actual lighthouse tower body is 45 ft tall. This N scale model is 1/160th at approximately 3 - 1/4 in or 84 mm tall.This lot is a kit and comes unpainted and unassembled. This kit comes with a simple assembly instruction. Although parts are designed with self-locating feature to minimize effort during assembly, basic model building skill is required. Not for kids 12 and under. Like any plastic model kit, this can be puttied and sanded by exercising the same caution. Models can be painted with acrylic paint. You can request a FREE scrape piece to test any paint you wish to use during checkout. This model is not functional, its solo purpose is for display or diorama.
