Description: M.J. Paillard Music Boxes Victorian Folding Diecut Trade Card. - - - DISCUSSION: An exceptionally lovely folding trade card for M.J. Paillard & Co. of New York, “Manufacturers and Importers of Musical Boxes”. The lid of the diecut box-shaped card lifts to reveal the inner workings of the box and its “playlist”. The lid was lifted once too often and is now detached, much like so many actual 19th century music box lids after a few too many sherries and a round of rambunctious parlor games.Folded card. About 6”x4”. Minor soil, light wear. Hinge cleanly split so the card is now in two parts. Removed from an album, with glue points on the blank back. SHIPPING NOTES: We combine shipping charges on orders for more than one item- you pay the shipping fee for your first item, and any other items that you order at the same time are shipped with it for no additional charge [If you buy more than one item please ask us to send a revised invoice before you pay]. All ephemera & photos are shipped USPS ‘Ground Advantage’ (which used to be First Class Package) in a board-reinforced card mailer with a large red DO NOT BEND sticker. Stock #52230 - - - IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR OVERSEAS BUYERS, PLEASE NOTE: SHIPPING: To comply with Ebay’s policies, all packages are shipped using recorded/trackable methods and you should check the postage quotes before completing a purchase. Our International shipping charges are based on the weight, when packed, of each package -we offer “combined shipping charges” for orders for more than one item –this often means the shipping cost for the items is less than it would have been if they had been purchased and shipped one at a time, so please ask us for a shipping quote if you are thinking about buying more than one item. Thanks! CUSTOMS CHARGES: Your post office may impose a customs charge on your incoming package, we have no control over this and no information about it, please check with your post office for more information. It is against U.S. law and Ebay rules for us to lie on the customs form about the value of packages, please do not ask us to do this. - Joslin Hall Books & Ephemera Selling books & ephemera since 1983 - Member of the Antiquarian Booksellers Association of America the International League of Antiquarian Booksellers and the Ephemera Society .
