Description: Lead coating powder - Muddy Green 250gLead coating powder is a simple and effective way of coating your own fishing leads at home.Coating a lead has a few major advantages; it protects the environment by preventing lead leakage into the water, and it camouflages the lead making it harder for the fish to spot.Over 25 colours and camo's available in my shop, see my other items. This plastic powder is used to coat fishing leads, the process is very simple:Heat your lead with a blow torch or in an oven to about 230CDip the hot lead into the powder for a few seconds, allowing a coating to build up on the lead.Remove the lead from the powder and hang up to cure: 5 - 10 minsIf you want a TEXTURED coating, wait 5 seconds after the first dip and dip into the powder againRemove the lead, wait a couple of seconds and plunge the lead into cold water.Practice makes perfect.
