It features trap doors for oil control, removable windage tray, built-in crank scraper and accepts up to 3.800" stroke with steel rods. It's 7-1/2" deep, 11" wide and fits 78-87 Metric chassis and Camaro stubs. Fits small block Chevy. NOTE: Moroso has made a running change to the "core" of the pan. This pan will now accept bigger stroke crankshafts as a result of the change, the consequence being there is no longer one bolt hole used in one side of the drivers side pan rail, as the hole would be right at the bend between the pan rail and side of the pan (see photo above). Moroso suggests using a bead of silicone on either side of the gasket where the one bolt is no longer used. High Volume Oil Pump (more details) There are many scenarios where a stock-volume oil pump won't provide the protection your engine needs. Engines with loose clearances (quick rebuilds or high-mileage engines) will need more oil volume to maintain a desired pressure. Engines operating at sustained high RPM (racing) also typically need more oil volume to maintain pressure in all oil galleries. These high-volume oil pumps move 25% more oil by utilizing 1.500" long internal gears, which is .300" longer than stock pumps. Another benefit of high volume oil pumps is increased pressure at idle, providing some much needed peace of mind on the street. These pumps come preset to 55-65 PSI of oil pressure, with an additional spring to change that pressure setting if needed.
