Description: 11234A British Colonial issue - Very rare French Guiana 1789A Birmingham Sous Marques counterstamped M (Black Dog). A wonderful example with an XF Standard counterstamp. Vlack lists 2 versions of the issue, numbers 405 (Cayenne) and 406 (Birmingham). 406 is listed as a Rarity 8 which according to Vlack, he knew of just 1 or 2 specimens. This is the only example graded by NGC. None have been graded by PCGS. Listed also as KM#1 and Pridmore 8 but without differentiation.Shipping discounts are available on all combined orders.
