Description: Offered for sale is a coil-built pottery bowl originating in prehistoric western New Mexico: Alma Plain, 200 - 1250 AD (https://ceramics.nmarchaeology.org/typology/type?p=292). It has fired to a reddish brown with small mica flecks, and has thick, rather rough, walls, only moderately well polished. A previous owner has written on its side, "Mogolon prehistoric / 900 AD / 350.00" As would be expected, the bowl's interior shows scraping marks of use. It is in very good condition with only a 1/4 inch chip on its inner rim (see photos). The diameter at the rim is 5 1/4 inches with a height of 3 1/2 inches. Shipping is by USPS Priority insured, and there is no handling charge. I invite you to view other items I have listed. Thanks for looking, and enjoy the hunt.
