Minty Type-1 (L.L. Davis) Iron Mantle-Clock Inclinometer-Level W/Pinstripes

Description: Antique minty Type-1 production (L.L. Davis Tool Co. 1867-Patent) Inclinometer Mantle-Clock Shape Iron-Level with lots of original factory gold-paint pinstripe-decoration present! Very rare find in this condition. And a very beautiful level. Lots of the original gold-paint pin-stripping present. Original and hard to find Inclinometer level as per pictures. Has been lightly cleaned, but the side-mounted set screws are not moving and need soaking in penetrating-oil etc. to remove and I will leave that to buyer. After a light cleaning to the brass, etc. this will display very well to excellent. Condition; needs a light cleaning and wire-wheel the bottom, along with some 800 grit sand-paper to make it shine, I have not tried to remove the side-screws and the center-section does not rotate now but I think all it needs is to be soaked in penetrating-oil because everything is so clean looking, no cracks or breaks to cast-iron and all outside-corners are good, bubble is good, has the correct indicator-pointer/needle. Japan is approx. 98% and there is approx. 80% of the original gold-paint pinstripes present and very beautiful, also present around the base-edges, you can still see traces on the sides of the center-section. The brass has a few light-dings but nice. If you are buying multiple auctions, do not pay until I send you an invoice with combined shipping.
