Description: This listing is for a steam pipe and mounting bracket with spring. It is used but functions as intended. I found it somewhat difficult to remove the pipe and the face panel mounting pieces that has the spring around it. I was not able to find any description on how to take it out in any of the Miele service information I have been able to find. I am guessing that most people just use the pipe that is alredy on their machine. However, if you are replacing the interior panel the pipe is attached to, then you have to get the old fitting out and get the new one in. There are two small slots in the face of the panel and a small tab on the front part of each half of the mounting piece. To take the mounting pieces out you need to take the spring off the mounting pieces behind the panel and take the ball and steam pipe out. Be as careful as possible NOT to stretch the spring. If you do and you have to reuse the spring, the steam pipe will be "wobbly" when you reassemble it. Next you have to rotate the mounting pieces until the tabs on the mounting pieces line up with the slots on the panel. Then you can pull the pieces out backwards from the panel. To put in the new pipe, the ball on the pipe has to be put into the mounting pieces (no spring yet) and then the mounting pieces can be put into the hole with the tabs and slots "lined up." Once this is done you need to turn the mounting pieces about a quarter turn to lock them in place. It is an awkward thing to do, but I know no other way of doing it. Once the pipe is in place the spring can be put on. Also not a small task. Once again, try not to stretch the spring as it will make the pipe "wobbly" when using it. In addition to the spring, I have enclosed an oring that you can use if you stretch or break the spring. I have all the parts for a CVA 615 and some parts for a CVA 610. I also have totally rebuilt 615 and 610 machines for sale. See my 615 listing for details. If you want a rebuilt 610 model contact me for more information. I will give you a trade-in for your non-functioning machine when you buy a rebuilt one from me.
