Strawberries are a more difficult subject to find in micro mosaics. Bezel setting is un-stamped, likely .800 silver, the standard of the time. The micro mosaic dates from the 1800's. The original tube hinge and latch clasp are in working order. Measures roughly 41 mm x 31 mm at widest points. There are no missing tesserae I can detect in the mosaics (the small handmade glass tiles). The blue glass has no cracks. On the back there are a few chips that do not impact the integrity of the brooch in any way. Under a loupe, I can make out a few extremely tiny flea bites on the edges of the blue glass, as to be expected with something of this age. Overall condition is extremely good.
