Description: *Child on right is missing left hand.*Metzler & Ortloff, Germany, porcelain figurine of a running woman trying to manage two playful children. She has flowing hair and dress and is quite elegant in form. The two children are mischievous and adorably portrayed. The three are mounted on a porcelain base with hallmark underneath. The hallmark is undated in all research materials I have consulted, and is unusual in that it states "Underglaze" above the word Germany. Delicately decorated and full of detail, this is quite a charming piece. It measures 10 1/8" tall by 7 3/4" wide. Except for the child's missing hand (see photo) there are no chips, cracks, repairs or restorations. Please enlarge and examine all photos carefully as they are considered part of the description.
