Description: This quirky piece of a simple, round bowl with two feet solidly attached to its underside and tipped slightly forward as if to offer its contents. A reproduction from the Predynastic Period (ca. 3900–3650 B.C.) ancient Egyptian potters created a wide variety of ceramic vessels, including this unusual type with a base shaped like human feet. Made from burnished clay, the bowl is smooth with a polished-like surface, giving it a light sheen.
